RPFI provides consultation, governance, recruitment, fund-raising and training services to enable the development of new Mental Health facilities where requested after exploration of the need and viability.
We develop expertise and understanding of the work in our UK Service Facilities and train potential staff from abroad who are capable of transferring their experience to establish new facilities internationally.
Active Organisations throughout the World
The worldwide network of Richmond Fellowship Charities have been extremely successful in spreading their approach and philosophy across the globe and, by so doing, in enhancing the quality of life of many thousands of distressed people as well as saving hundreds from suicide.
Today there are 27 active Associations world-wide, each of which owes its origin to the work of Elly Jansen, who founded the Richmond Fellowship in 1959 and the Richmond Fellowship International in 1981 . The majority have become consolidated as independent national or state organisations , with an impressive range of services.
Most retain strong links with the founder and it is the intention of RPFI to foster its relationship with them for mutual benefit in the endeavour for those in need of support to live a more fulfilled life. Particularly, we rely on their faithfulnes and expertise to continue to support the aims of RPFI in countries still desperately in need of mental health services.
