Lancaster Lodge, a therapeutic community for adults with mental health problems, first opened on 1st May 1959 by Elly Jansen, was relaunched on the 1st May 2009. Located in a welcoming neighbourhood of Richmond Hill, it aims to provide a bridge from hospital to independent living for those for whom a community based therapeutic resource would provide the necessary safe and containing environment where therapeutic intervention and recovery can take place.

This service can accommodate up to 11 adults with a range of problems resulting in poor mental health e.g. complex trauma, psychosis, neurosis and personality disorder.

Our aim is to assist by providing a range of integrated care packages to meet the individual needs of service users with an emphasis on social inclusion and individual fulfilment.
